Thank you so much, Angeline, for your kind words. You really made my day! I do plan to leave it up so people can refer back to it. I'm glad to hear that would be helpful. The best of luck to you and your writing/memoir project.

Hello Nancy,

I appreciate how much I learned in your class. I haven't been fortunate to sit in a professor's class with your your ability to communicate your ideas to the students. understand the different needs of people in the class, humor and knowledge since Schaack Van Deusen taught me English at Notre Dame High School. Some of my college professors were excellent, but you are gifted.

I totally understand why this is your last entry. You're entering a new phase of your life. Are you going to leave the blog up so we can refer back to the different entries?

Thank You,

Angeline Gardner Payne

Nancy, I just had to comment as these quotes were so funny.

The quote from William Alliingham fits much of what I read on my favorite blogs and the quote from Samuel Johnson cracked me up!
Enjoying your blog.

The best writers usually are very transparent. It's going deeply that makes our work intriguing and draws our readers in. Anyone can write "trite" stuff. We connect with writers who are honest, because we see something of ourselves we can connect with. See you Monday!

Writing is a great outlet for depression. I find that the greater struggle is knowing how transparent, I the writer should be. See you in class on Monday!

That's an interesting idea -- actually thinking about a specific painting when writing. Thanks, Susan.
